Placement
What is a placement
The Placement is a compulsory, fixed-term, mentored and supervised work experience in companies, public or private institutions, cooperatives, associations, research centres related to a Degree course. Placements last at least 150 hours (approximately 2 months part-time). If completed with a positive evaluation by the host structure and the academic tutor, the student accrues 6 credits in the study plan.
How to find a placement
Students who want to find or apply for placement opportunities may access st@ge online or present their own project to the internship coordinator for the Degree course, as agreed with the University tutor and with a supervisor of the host institution. In this case, together with the application, the student will have to present suitable documentation that certifies the availability of the host institution and a preliminary program of the tasks to be performed. If considered adequate, the project will be approved, subject to the agreement between the host institution and University according to the procedure adopted by the Placement and Internship Service. In any case, end of placement assessments will follow the procedures provided by the Placement and Internship Service. The assessment will entail a report/questionnaire of the Company tutor approved by the University tutor, in addition to a report/questionnaire produced by the intern.

The Degree Committee might take into account any professional experience, gained within companies, public and private institutions, towards credits relative to placements and internships.
